Practice Description
Aizlynn’s practice area includes administrative law, municipal and planning law, professional regulation and civil litigation.
Background
Aizlynn grew up on her family’s grain farm just south of Peace River, Alberta, which instilled in her the work ethic and perseverance needed to pursue a career in law. She is accredited in two common wealth jurisdictions, England and Canada, having completed a Bachelor of Laws(Honours) at Queen Mary, University of London, and then the Internationally Trained Lawyer Pathway program at the University of Alberta. Prior to law school, she attended MacEwan University completing a Bachelor of Arts in English and Political Science. While Aizlynn was curious about the complicated nature of Administrative Law when attending school, her interest has now grown into a passion for not only Administrative law but also Municipal and Planning law. Her unique and unconventional path she has taken to the law has created a strong foundation for her resilience and creativity, which she now applies to her work every day.
In her own words
While working in municipal law since finishing school, I have formed a healthy respect for governance, legislation, bylaws, and policy. Because municipal law plays an integral role in basic daily activities, from ordering your coffee (or tea in my case) to picking up your groceries, it is fascinating to me. Many people are unaware of how intertwined this area of the law is with daily living. Because of the fundamentally diverse and complicated nature of municipal law that intertwines itself with our everyday, I am motivated to assist people where ever I can to help navigate the ins and outs of such a complex field.
