Practice Description
Lucas began his articles with Shores Jardine LLP in July 2025. He assists senior lawyers with a wide range of administrative law, municipal law and professional regulation matters.
Background
Prior to law school Lucas worked in both government and a not for profit as a Policy Analyst. He has experience providing analysis and advice in areas ranging from Agriculture to Labour policy. In his policy work Lucas used data driven analysis to develop policies and programs for stakeholders from various levels of government, industry, and not for profit backgrounds. During his graduate schooling Lucas was involved in student associations, as a co-chair for the department association and as a member at large for the faculty association.
In law school Lucas competed in the 2024 National Labour Arbitration Moot and then returned as a student coach for the 2025 team. Lucas was also the VP Finance for the Law Students Association, where he worked with campus wide committees on issues impacting faculty groups across campus.

Away From The Office
During the summer Lucas enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring Alberta more generally. He is always looking for a new sport to try playing or just enjoy watching. In law school, he was a member of the Golden Bearristers Rugby team, and looks forward to putting on the boots as an alumni member going forward. During the winter he is an enthusiastic if very recreational curler.
